The Indian Government had blocked 43 more mobile apps, majority of which are Chinese, adducing activities “prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security and public order’ on Tuesday. The government said in a statement that it was “committed to protect the interests of citizens and sovereignty and integrity of india on all fronts and it shall take all possible steps to ensure that.”
India has banned about 220 chinese apps in mobile phones amid the border tensions with China from the last few months. In that context Chinese spokesperson Ji Rong said, “China firmly opposes Indian side’s repeated use of “national security” as an excuse to ban mobile Apps with Chinese background. Hope india provides a fair, impartial and non-discriminatory business environment for all market players and rectify discriminatory practices.”
In response to the media Ji Rong emphasized that Chinese government had always required overseas Chinese companies to abide by the international rules, operate in compliance with laws and regulations and conform to the “public order and good morals.”
China and India are opportunities of development to each other rather than threats. Both sides should bring bilateral economic and trade relations back to the right path for mutual benefits and win-win results on the basis of dialogue and negotiation.” Ji Rong added.
In another briefing one more spokesperson Gao Feng told that India’s actions violate the legal interests of Chinese investors and service providers and China asks now to India to correct its “mistakes”.
