Pathanamthitta: A two-month-old infant who is a suspect of Covid 19 infection has been admitted to the isolation ward of Kozhencherry district hospital. The child who is admitted to the hospital is from the family, who had direct contact with Italy family confirmed by Corona. The mother of the baby has been admitted to ICU.

At the same time, three people from Punalur family who are the relatives of Italy family, and two of their neighbors, were found to be not infected with the coronavirus. They will be excluded from hospital monitoring. However, they are advised to remain under surveillance for 28 days even if they are discharged from the hospital.

Yesterday morning, six people from Ranni who had been in direct contact with the family from Italy were diagnosed with the disease. Two people who went to the airport to receive their family from Italy, an elderly father and mother at home, and two others in Ranni who had been closely engaged with their family, were diagnosed with the disease
