According to Tuesday reports Karnataka has logged a total of 1,141 new covid-19 cases and 14 fatalities. Although 1136 people were discharged after recovery, the total number of deaths as of now all over the state is 12,029 with 9,11,382 live infections. This has urged the State government to declare precautionary steps amid growing panic over the new strain of Covid-19 as reported by Britain. The state government said it had to take necessary steps ahead of Christmas and New Year celebrations across the state.
As a part of the decision, night curfews have been announced in Karnataka from today as confirmed by the officials. The curfew will come into force from night 10 pm to 6 am. This is not just for a day, it’s for 9 days in a row. With effect from today, the curfew will last till 6 am on January 2. The state government has made it mandatory for all international passengers to carry a covid-19 test report which must show negative for the virus.
