The couple, who came from Italy, and their son, neighbors, and relatives, a man and a woman, are the five-person who has been previously been diagnosed with coronavirus. Twenty-one people who were diagnosed with symptoms from their close friends were admitted to the Kozhenchery Hospital. Two of them were diagnosed with the disease.
Currently, 21 people are living in hospital isolation wards. Two of them are now infected with the Covid 19 virus. The Collector said that an investigation has been launched to locate the two persons who have recently been identified.
Pathanamthitta District Collector PB Nooh said that they were searching for those who interact with two new confirmed case-patients. Earlier, eight teams of seven were assigned to identify patients who were involved. Nooh said the number of these groups has now been increased to 11. Currently, the confirmed patients are at Isolation Ward of Kolenchery Hospital.
Meanwhile, PB Nooh said that stern action would be taken against those spreading fake news in the media regarding coronavirus.
